A hundred and sixty thousand plays to earn a measly buck Apple and Spotify can go and get fucked Never in it for riches just having me some fun But it’s profit instead of music to be number one We give our heart and soul to bring our tracks to you Another on your playlist you don’t care who It’s not for me to tell you what you oughta do But do me a favour and play my album through I stumble and I fumble to write myself a song The pro’s they may frown and say I’m doing it all wrong McCartney can’t read music I’m much the same But I’m doing it for love I don’t depend on fame I’m one of millions trying to catch your eye It’s hard to make a living so why do I try? I’m doing it for love, having me some fun But one day who knows I maybe number one So when you buy my record a request from me to you Don’t swipe the tracks just play the album through

Footprints 02:56
It’s concerning, somethings’ occurring, disturbing, perturbing Till it rained, I’d not seen it before There’s these man sized footprints Outside my front door You can set, your watch by me, my comings and goings I’m out at five, and home ‘round half past four But now someone’s Got there before I looked around, rummaging, searching, for signs of lurking Butts and matchsticks, they weren’t there before Someone’s had a drag Outside my back door One things certain, It ain’t Carol, She only chews tobacco She’s big but she ain’t got size 10 feet Mail Man, Preacher, who could it be? It’s concerning, somethings’ occurring, disturbing, perturbing Till it rained, I’d not seen it before There’s these man sized footprints Outside my front door

about

Beatniks on Toast is a companion EP to Manzo's 3rd album 'Attachment'. These are not album left-overs. They just deserved their own space.
Each track has a raw and live feel, raucous and fun. The energy and enjoyment of performing is apparent from the very beginning, and not to be taken too seriously!

Track 1 'Streaming Blues' is a lighthearted plea for music listeners to take the time to listen to a whole album, not just 'swipe' through tracks.

Track 2 'Don't Let Me Down'* is a cover of the Lennon/McCartney classic. Faithful to the original but with it's own warmhearted identity.

Track 3 is a simple, fun blues number, not to be taken seriously!

Track 4 is a quirky parody of coffee snobbery - and dreadful generic cafe music!

The listener is guaranteed to finish this EP with a big smile!
